The former pop star has reunited with fellow group members Linzi Martin, Anika Bostekaar, Michelle Barber and Nikki Stuart to take part in the new series of the hit ITV2 show, alongside Eternal, Damage, A1, 3T and newly-collaborated boy band 5th Story.
But it hasn't been plain sailing and fun for all, as Jodi has found the experience pretty intense.
Speaking at the National Television Awards last night (22 January), she said: "It's been crazy. There was drama. We've been completely honest [about our story], so it's very explosive. I don't know what I've got myself in for, but it will make good television!"
The girl group were signed by Simon Cowell in 1999 and hailed as the next Spice Girls.
However, they came to an abrupt end in 2001 and Jodi went on to find fame in Hollyoaks, before marrying Westlife's Kian Egan in 2009.
In fact, tying the knot with Kian is one of the reasons why Jodi was willing to give Girl Thing another shot on The Big Reunion this year.
She explained: "Girl Thing was the reason I met Kian, so I felt like I owed it to the girls and to the band to give it one last go."
And her hubby couldn't agree more, claiming that her new venture with the group could help the five girls gain closure.
Alongside Jodi on the red carpet at the NTAs last night, Kian said: "I think for Jodi, [being in a pop band] is very different. She's back with girls she knew a very long time ago. But I think if she keeps calm and enjoys it, they are getting a great opportunity to put a really nice end to the Girl Thing story.
"Girl Thing had a really rough time in the early days. The way it all happened and then the way it ended really fast… so it is good for them to now do a big tour, make a TV show and get to perform together again."
As well as picking up the microphone and taking to the stage once more, Jodi is busy looking after the couple's two-year-old son Koa.
But even though she always manages to look glam, the 30-year-old credits being a yummy mummy to simply having "a little bit of luck".
Showing off her trim figure in a gorgeous sheer white gown last night, Jodi said: "I hate the gym. I try my best to keep an eye on what I eat, but then I kind of fall off the wagon every other weekend.
"I try and dance and stay fit, but it's a little bit of luck. It took me two years to lose the baby weight."
The Big Reunion kicks off February on ITV2.
