The 19-year-old Olympic diver shared a picture of himself in an elevator on the way home after the glitzy awards show, inadvertently (or deliberately?!) showing fans he has a photo of boyfriend Dustin Lance Black as his phone cover.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the sweet snap of Tom and Dustin, and nearly 60,000 people have liked the post so far.
Tom, however, didn't reference the phone cover in his caption, instead saying: "Home from the #NTAs :) in bed now ready for training tomorrow!!!"
It was actually a phone that kickstarted Tom and Dustin's relationship, with Tom telling Jonathan Ross last year they'd met at a party.
"I'd never felt like anything like it before. We were at a party and I hadn't even spoken to him all night. I didn't know what to do or if he was gay at first. I typed 'call me' in his notes with a smiley face on this phone and the next day he texted. He makes me feel safe and happy, right now I couldn't be happier.
Tom had been at the NTAs to present the award for 'Best Entertainment Programme', which went to I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Tom recently switched his diving base from his home city of Plymouth to London, where he'll now train with a new coach, Jane Figueiredo, ahead of his Rio Olympics 2016 bid. He won a bronze medal at London 2012.
"Diving is now my number-one focus and that's the thing that it always has been, and now I feel like I can just go and be with Jane and work towards getting a gold medal in Rio," he told BBC Sport.
"It was sad to leave [Plymouth] but I'm 19 years old, I've finished my A-levels - most people would go to university but I've decided to spread my wings a little bit."
As well as training, the athlete is also mid-way through taping the second series of Splash!
Tom serves as the celebrity coach for the ITV series, which airs its fourth heat this week before moving on to the semi finals. The next episode airs Saturday night.
