The loved up couple were on ITV's Daybreak on Monday morning (20 January) to launch a competition open to people who want to propose in a special way, giving them the chance to reminisce about their own big moment.
"I wasn't nervous as such, I was quite excited," said Kian, reflecting on his proposal.
"I did it on Christmas Day as I thought it was a way to make Christmas really special. I got down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree. Jodi's family were all there and stood around. I wasn't nervous, I was excited. It's an exciting time but people can let nerves overcome them sometimes."
Lorraine Kelly then asked if Kian had been fairly sure Jodi would say yes, given he proposed in front of her loved ones, prompting him to say: "We had bought a house together and things like that so I think our relationship was ready to take that step!"
Jodi then revealed that the couple, who are parents to adorable son Koa, had a year and a half between getting engaged and getting married in Barbados in 2009.
"We chose it (as the location) because it was the first holiday we'd ever had together and the first time he'd said he loved me. It is a special place. Getting married abroad was incredible."
Kian and Jodi were launching a new Daybreak competition that will give one winner the chance to propose to their loved one on live TV and then, just five days later, fly with them to Las Vegas for a Valentine's Day wedding.
Meanwhile, don't forget you can catch Jodi in the brand new series of Big Reunion alongside her band Girl Thing when it begins on ITV2 next month.
