The reality star is currently being filmed abroad for a new ITV2 show, in which he searches for monkeys in the wild, but Joey decided to turn the tables and do some filming himself!
Joey, who came in fourth place in last year's show of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, appeared to enjoy his new technical role as he rested the equipment on his shoulder while wearing dark green overalls.
Captioning the photo, he said: "This picture 'suits' me. I'm part of the #CamCREW."
Joey has been keeping fans updated with his travels since after flying out to Johannesburg, South Africa, early last week and has documented his treks with plenty of photos posted to Twitter.
Yesterday, Joey told fans how he embarked on a gruelling nine-hour bus journey! He tweeted: "Had a long journey today. 9 hours straight in a mini bus... But it was worth it #Africa."
Also this week, Joey continued his quest and went on a gorilla trek, led by a team of tour guides.
He told fans: "In Uganda on Gorilla trek today #WhatAreYouSayin got great guides with me from Geckos Adventures @GeckosTales."
We're sure Joey will have a dozen tales to tell from his trip, one of which might include his recent scare after he was bitten by a monkey on his travels last week.
Confirming initial reports, Joey later tweeted (11 January): "It's true... I was bitten by a monkey out here in Africa. But I have seen a doctor."
Joey's expedition in Africa will soon be coming to an end though, as he's expected to land back in the UK tomorrow morning (17 November).
Despite having a hectic couple of months with filming for TOWIE, his stint in I'm A Celebrity and his trek in Africa, Joey will be heading out across the UK for a string of personal appearances up until February.
