Billy Ryan released a statement yesterday afternoon (15 January) in which he revealed someone had suggest that Lee "needs a lethal injection to the jugular".

Within the lengthy statement, titled 'The Truth About Lee Ryan', Billy admits that Lee "perhaps didn't realise quite how much of a reaction he would get" after signing up to this year's CBB.

Billy spoke out hours before Lee's CBB love interest Jasmine Waltz was evicted from the house to a chorus of boos.

In the statement, Billy said: "I felt like writing this because there is another side to it and no matter how hard I try not to care, some of the abuse, violent language, death threats and fabricated stories just get a bit too much.

"Over the past week I've also seen some extreme vitriol towards Lee, even from people I know personally. Things like 'he should be shot between the eyes', 'somebody should stab Lee Ryan', 'I want to axe him in the head with a hammer', 'he needs a lethal injection to the jugular' were the ones that stood out.

"I'm sure these are not serious threats, more like jokes that should be taken with a pinch of salt, but at the same time I can't help but feel sad that people would say such things about a member of my family."

Billy released the statement on his own website, billyryan.com, before posting a link to it on Lee's Twitter account.

Although he admits Lee "has flaws", Billy stressed: "Lee has some beautiful qualities. He is a loving, caring, sensitive, affectionate, funny and positive person.

"He stands up for people and animals who can't help or defend themselves, knowing he will be ridiculed for it.

"If you knew him personally you would know that he is a generous, kind hearted person and he just wants to make people laugh and smile.

"As a family we are immensely proud of the person he is, every family needs a Lee."

Last night, Lee looked dejected as Jasmine left the CBB house following their whirlwind - and controversial - relationship.

Despite practically professing their undying love for each other in the house, all while under the watchful eye of Casey Batchelor, Jasmine appeared non-commital once she was out.

When asked about her future with Lee by CBB host Emma Willis, the US model replied: "I don't really know. I can't really predict. I'm sure we'll see each other when we get out."

But on the subject of Casey and Lee being left in the house together now she is out, Jasmine added: "I wouldn't put it past Lee [to try it on with Casey once more]."
