In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, On Air, mum-of-one Shakira had plenty of praise for Rihanna. She said: "You know, we're both from the Caribbean so I always thought we had that common ground, but this song is pretty reggae.

"I honestly thought it would never happen," she continued. "She [Rihanna] heard the record and she loved it and she said she was onboard, and I was the happiest girl alive. To shoot the video with her has been a blast."

Shakira, who welcomed baby son Milan in January last year with football player Gerard Pique, added: "The song is about that guy that just gets under your skin and you can't leave alone. I think every woman has been through that."

'Can't Remember To Forget You' is the lead single taken from Shakira's new studio album, which will be released on 25 March.

The Colombian born popstar, who is currently putting the finishing touches to her album, will return to the judging panel for season six of The Voice US in February. Now that we've heard the track, we can't wait to see the music video!
