Dappy's people have paid a hefty sum to bailiffs on his behalf in an attempt to stop them from raiding the Celebrity Big Brother house, according to reports.

It has been claimed that £6,000 was handed over after creditors threatened to turn up at the CBB compound in Hertfordshire to serve Dappy with court papers.

According to The Sun, Dappy's appearance on the C5 show had been "winding up" the bailiffs, who had been trying to pin him down.

A source told the newspaper: "His people were worried it would have made him look ridiculous - so paid the bill."

Reveal contacted Dappy's rep about the reports but he had no comment to make.

It is unknown why 26-year-old Dappy - real name Costadinos Contostavlos - owes money, however he is rumoured to be taking home a £100,000 sum for his CBB appearance.

Last year, the dad-of-two spoke about reality shows such as CBB and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! saying they were for people whose "career is fading away".

In December, Dappy's N-Dubz bandmate Fazer was reportedly declared bankrupt following an unpaid tax bill.
