The 'We Can't Stop' singer turned to Twitter on Thursday evening (2 January) to slam claims she dissed Beyoncé in a new magazine interview.
Miley had been quoted by some outlets talking about Beyonce's career and figure, suggesting she was ready to take over as the new Queen of Pop, but, it turns out, none of the words attributed to her ever actually left her mouth!
A clearly annoyed Miley vented: "That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol! Imagine if I said I got "the looks and the curves I'm just better!" Bahahahhaha.
"How are people allowed to make up s**t & then out quotes around it saying I said that sh**! WTF!!?!"
Miley continued: "Thank god I just woke up from this nightmare."
The former Hannah Montana star told fans she would "get to the bottom of this s**t", adding: "U can cause A LOT of drama but NOT between me & B!"
Meanwhile, the magazine that the false quotes were said to have come from, Love Magazine, has backed Miley up, saying she never spoke about Beyonce in their interview and the false quotes did not come from them and do not appear in the magazine.
It tweeted: "WE ALL LOVE BEYONCE. Miley Cyrus never said anything to us about Beyonce, the quotes were made up and we're trying to get to the bottom of where this came from."

Just two days into the New Year and already there's a bit of Miley controversy although, this time, it's actually nothing to do with her!
