The couple were pictured dining at Mr Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills on Thursday evening (2 January), on their very first date night since the birth of their baby son Alfonso Lincoln Jr.
Looking cute and casual, 32-year-old Angela - who married Alfonso last October - wore a pair of jeans, black boots and a furry bolero, while her hubby kept things simple in a black pinstripe shirt and dark denim.
After their intimate meal, Angela tweeted: "Just enjoyed a wonderful first date night with @alfonso_ribeiro since the birth of our baby boy. Simply perfect evening."
But despite appearing to be all smiles on their dinner date, Alfonso was also battling with the loss of close friend and fellow actor James, who passed away on New Year's Eve from complications following open heart surgery.
James was well known for playing Alfonso's father and Will Smith's strict but loving uncle, Philip Banks, in the hit 90s sitcom, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Away from the cameras, he was described as a "second father" to Alfonso, who paid tribute to the late 68-year-old in a touching tweet on Wednesday (1 Janaury).
Alfonso wrote: "I'm deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly."
Jada Pinkett Smith - wife of lead Fresh Prince star, Will - also paid her respects to James after the sad news was confirmed.
Writing on her Facebook page, she said: "James was my teacher, my protector and the most magnificant actor. We're feeling his loss very deeply. He'll always be a part of me."
