JLS have released a final message for their fans after splitting as a band.

Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Oritse Williams recorded a video message for fans backstage at the O2 Arena in London on Sunday, 22 December, just before they took to the stage for their last ever concert.

JLS record a special video message for fans.

"Thank you so much to every single one of you out there for supporting us from day dot," said Aston. "You are the most unbelievable, dedicated, loving people we could ever ask to follow us and support us, and you've always had our backs."

Aston was holding a plaque given to the group by the O2 to mark their twelve dates at the venue - more than any other boyband have achieved.

JB held another plaque recognising their 750,000+ ticket sales across four tours and 101 shows.

Marvin and Oritse's plaque was a gift from the record label celebrating all their success over the years including five MOBO Awards, two Brit Awards, four albums, and more than six million record sales.

"This is just a culmination of everything you guys made happen for us," said Marvin. "It goes without saying that if you hadn't supported (our first single) 'Beat Again' then none of the rest of it would be possible. This is all down to you guys."

Aston ended their message by saying it wasn't goodbye forever, just "see you later."

JLS bowed out in front of a sold-out crowd that included celebrity friends Cheryl Cole, Niall Horan and Liam Payne from One Direction, Olly Murs and The Saturdays. Marvin's wife Rochelle brought their baby daughter Alaia-Mai along as well.

The group announced in April they'd be splitting at the end of 2013 following a tour and farewell album.

In a statement, they said: "We will always remain brothers and friends and we will always be your boys. Thanks to all of you guys, your support, your dedication and you have changed our lives forever. We wouldn't be where we are today without you."

Today, after their last gig, Marvin tweeted: "Just want to say thanks to everyone who came to support us yesterday..it was a very emotional but incredible day!"
