JLS star Marvin Humes is becoming a firm favourite on the radio airwaves because he's landed two new jobs at Capital FM!

The popstar has been announced as the brand new host of the Vodafone Big Top 40 and he will also front a new evening show on the weekdays in the new year.

"I'm over the moon to be a part of the exciting 2014 line up on Capital," said Marvin. "What an amazing opportunity. I remember being on The Big Top 40 as an artist and to now be presenting the show is a dream come true."

As the new host of the UK's biggest chart show, Marvin will be taking over every Sunday from 4pm starting in January. Meanwhile, his new three-hour evening show will kick off from 7pm on weekdays, starting from Monday 6 January.

Taking to Twitter, Marvin added: "It's amazing news. I can't thank you guys enough for the love and amazing support."

Marvin, who is married to the Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, joined Capital back in March where he kicked off the weekend with a mix of the hottest club tracks, which he'll still continue to do every Friday.

It's been a whirlwind year for Marvin, who welcomed his baby daughter Alaia-Mai with wife Rochelle on 20 May.

Apart from becoming a first-time dad, this year alone, Marvin has co-presented ITV's This Morning with Rochelle on two occasions, and was announced as the new co-host of BBC singing competition The Voice, which will return to screens next year.

Meanwhile, JLS will bow out at the end of this year after six years together. The boyband - Marvin, Aston Merrygold, JB Gill and Oritsé Williams - have released their last ever single 'Billion Lights', which is taken from their final album Goodbye: The Greatest Hits.

They are currently on their 'Goodbye' farewell tour, which will wrap up on 22 December at London's O2 Arena.
