Lea, 27, who will premiere her lead single 'Cannonball' on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (12 December), added: "I'm so excited to share this new side of me with my fans."
The brunette, who plays Rachel Berry in the hit US comedy-musical, recently revealed that a song on the album called 'You're Mine', will be dedicated to her late partner Cory Montieth, who passed away on 13 July this year.
Speaking to American Elle, Lea said: "It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think if him, I play this."
Meanwhile, show producer Ryan Murphy announced last month that Glee will officially end after the sixth season.
