Hugh shared a photo of himself with a plaster on his nose, adding the caption: "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!! (sic)"
The Australian actor, who recently starred in superhero movie Wolverine, didn't provide any further details.
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer, accounting for more than 80% of cases in the UK. The most common cause is too much exposure to UV light from the sun or sunbeds.
