The pregnant mum-of-one, who opted to have the double mastectomy last year after learning she carries the BRCA2 gene - increasing her chances of having cancer in the future - said "we couldn't be happier."
Michelle took to Twitter on Thursday to say: "A year today I underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.. To help prevent breast cancer given I am BRCA2 positive....
"I was tough on the outside but was just a frightened girl on the inside.. It's been a rough 12 months... Now, expecting our 2nd child..
"We couldn't be happier. I have a rough road ahead still, but thanks to my birthday boy husband @hughhanley we will get through it. X"
She ended the heartfelt tweet with "#blessed xxxx"
Wow, 34-year-old Michelle is one incredible lady.
Mum to daughter Faith and with another baby on the way, Michelle has also been busy celebrating hubby Hugh's birthday.
The personal trainer Tweeted an adorable snap of his daughter holding a 'cake' with a candle in it.
Obvs it wasn't a real cake - Hugh's body is a temple after all!
He said: "My beautiful girls @wonderwomanshel gave me a Birthday Cake (protein bar) this morning. Then Faith ate it on me LOL."
