The three boys took some time off from their gruelling rehearsals for this weekend's live show and headed to London's Natural History Museum, where they had some fun on the outdoor ice rink, which has been unveiled in the run-up to Christmas.
And the trio's proud mentor Louis was in tow!
The Irish entertainment manager was spotted getting to grips with the ice in a cute and cosy striped bobbly hat and a warm black winter coat, while clutching onto a toy penguin so that he wouldn't slip over.
Being the loyal mentees that they are, Luke, Sam and Nicholas also made sure that the X Factor judge didn't lose his balance by giving him a few skating tips. Bless them!
However, it didn't look like any of the boys needed help with their skating skills, as they were pictured whizzing around the rink and confidently striking a few poses.
Cheeky hopeful Nicholas was even spotted puckering up to a penguin at one point on the ice!
Meanwhile, Sam looked in good spirits despite being given a hard time lately on the ITV competition.
The aspiring pop star has received a fair amount of criticism from the judges in recent weeks, particularly Gary Barlow.
Last Saturday (9 November), Gary surprised viewers by not giving Sam a fair critique of his performance, merely saying "Well Done" after he'd finished singing.
The Take That member later claimed that he had nothing constructive to say. Ouch!
Nevertheless, Sam and his fellow boys must be doing something right, since they are the only category to still have all of their acts left in the competition.
No wonder Louis looked so jolly last night!
