TOWIE's Charlie Sims had to watch ex-girlfriend Ferne McCann going on a date with co-star Dan Osborne recently, but says he never felt Dan was a threat to him.

Charlie and Ferne broke up earlier this year after he was accused of being unfaithful to her while on a lads' holiday abroad, but viewers saw them reconcile last night after Charlie realised how much she means to him.

Their reunion came after Ferne went on a date with Dan but that relationship went no further – luckily for Charlie!

But chatting to fans via a Twitter Q&A last night, Charlie insisted he'd never been worried about the whole Ferne/Dan situation.

Charlie said: "Dan was never a threat. She always loved me. I knew deep down that Ferne would come back to me."

Ferne went on a date with Dan in a past episode.

Viewers saw Charlie winning Ferne back last night by delivering a sweet speech at Gemma Collins' house, where Ferne had been enjoying a dinner party. Of course, that also meant that the couple weren't alone and he had to woo her back in front of a handful of co-stars.

"I wasn't really nervous beforehand, but adrenaline kicked in when I got to the door. I was 11/10 nervous!" he said. As for the reason he did it? "True love never dies."

Charlie told followers he'd never hurt Ferne again ("you learn from your mistakes") and said his speech at Gemma's house was the most romantic thing he's ever done – but added: "It won't be the last romantic thing I do!"

He added: "If you love someone never give up fighting for them. Always follow your heart."

TOWIE airs Wednesday and Sunday nights on ITV2.
