Katy Perry has made no secret of the fact she likes British food, and it turns out she can't wait to eat even more when she returns to the UK in December.

The 29-year-old popstar, who has been confirmed to perform at this year's Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball, confessed that she loves having a Sunday roast on most days of the week!

Katy, who will be sharing the stage on 7 December with the likes of Olly Murs, James Arthur and Ellie Goulding, said: "It feels great, I am very excited to be spending the holiday over there. You guys have a great tradition, I'll be getting fat, I love you guys."

The 'Roar' singer, who was in Tokyo this week to promote her new album, Prism, is sure to put on an energetic show if her past performances are anything to go by!

When asked about what treats she may want backstage, Katy added: "Nice warm meat pies and Yorkshire puddings. I love a Sunday roast on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday." Who knew she was such a fan?

Also lined up to perform alongside Katy at London's O2 Arena is Union J, Tinie Tempah, Rizzle Kicks, Naughty Boy and Disclosure.

'Burn' singer Ellie is also looking forward to spending some more time with Katy when she returns to the UK. "She's a mate of mine," said Ellie. "I've just stayed with her actually.

"We did a show at Hollywood Bowl in LA and we performed 'Roar' together, which was quite funny. It's always good to be a part of a line-up of people you know and love."

Meanwhile, Tinie said he wouldn't mind popping into Katy's backstage area! "I've heard it always smells of candy floss and sweets," he said. "Yeah, I'm so into that. My nose will definitely be getting stuck in there."
