Former TOWIE star and nightclub owner Mick Norcross has decided to turn his hand to selling antiques by opening a new shop in Essex.

Mick - who is father to TOWIE's Kirk Norcross - is the man behind the popular Sugar Hut club in Brentwood, which has the likes of Lauren Pope, Sam Faiers and Joey Essex partying on its premises.

However, he is now starting a brand new venture in his area - and there isn't a Sugar Hut Honey in sight!

Mick is swapping his Sugar Hut Honeys for antiques

The entrepreneur and his business partner Gavin Hutchinson are opening a shop called Neil Graham Interiors today (1 November), which will sell fine furniture, collectibles and antiques, as well as offering an interior design service on site.

But while some TOWIE fans may find this shop launch unusual for Mick, he insists that he has always had an interest in antiques.

"My passion for many years has been to have a business trading in antiques," he told the Brentwood Weekly News.

"I have antiques around me at home and I enjoy going to antique fairs to buy. I've been to a two-day fair in Sussex this week. I go all over the country and into Europe."

He added: "I don't claim to be an antiques expert, but I have a love of it."

Given his eye for old fashioned items and ornaments, we wonder whether he will be gifting his son Kirk and future daughter-in-law Cami Li with a special antique for their wedding?!

Kirk and Cami Li got engaged earlier this year and last month the couple revealed that they have now set a date for their big day and chosen a location.

Among those sending good luck messages to Mick today was TOWIE's Debbie Douglas, who tweeted: "Good luck with your antique shop opening today. I will visit soon and grab a coffee with you too. Love to all the family."
