The couple announced that they are now living apart after 22 years of marriage and apparently this is because they were no longer treating each other well.
Opening up about the breakdown in her marriage to best friend Kathie Lee Gifford in a podcast this week, Kris explained: "We decided this was best for our family. We came to a place where this isn't healthy, the way we were treating each other."
She added: "'I was so blessed to meet Bruce Jenner... This is the best for our situation and we're keeping it real tight and private. It's just what we need to do right now."
Kris and Bruce have insisted that they will still remain the "best of friends" and although they don't share the same house anymore, they will not be filing for divorce.
In fact, the couple still behave like they did before announcing their separation and even came together with their children over the weekend to celebrate Bruce's 64th birthday.
"We speak on the phone about twelve times a day," Kris said. "Not a lot has changed in our family dynamic... I would rather have him in my life as a friend rather than not in my life at all."
While Bruce now resides in Malibu, Kris has stayed in the couple's stunning family home.
But she isn't all alone in the massive mansion, as 33-year-old daughter Kim has moved in with her fiancé Kanye West and baby daughter North, as their house is currently being renovated.
"Kim and Kanye live with me, they're my roommates and baby North," Kris added. "'There's a lot of action in my house right now, which I thrive off of."
Despite the fact that she and Bruce have called time on their marriage, the 57-year-old Kardashian matriarch recently insisted that she doesn't have time to date anyone else.
