Kim Kardashian has confirmed that she will be taking Kanye West's surname after the couple get married, become Kim Kardashian West.

The curvaceous reality star revealed her plans to change her name over the weekend and told E! News: "I will [take the last name West]. Yeah, I will.

"It will be Kim Kardashian West. It won't be hyphenated. Maybe make Kardashian the middle name."

So it seems Kim will be taking a leaf out of sister Khloe's book, as she opted to change her moniker to Khloe Kardashian Odom after marrying husband Lamar.

Kanye got down on one knee earlier this month, on Kim's 33rd birthday, and spared no expense with his lavish proposal, which took place at a baseball stadium in San Francisco.

But despite the orchestra on hand to set the mood and the serenity of having an entire stadium to themselves, Kim still "had no idea" that Kanye was about to propose to her until the very last moment!

In fact, the blonde-haired star just thought she and her beau were going to have a romantic birthday dinner!

Although Kim has remained tight-lipped on the plans for her forthcoming nuptials, since she and Kanye got engaged, her future hubby has been a lot more vocal.

Yesterday (28 October), the rapper opened up about his wedding during a radio interview and claimed that he and Kim will walk down the aisle next summer.

He also revealed that, although there were no concrete plans yet for the ceremony, he did want it to include fighter jets!

Meanwhile, all Kim has said so far about the nuptials is that Kanye can have "whatever he wants".

Fighter jets it is then!
