The newly-single Girls Aloud star tested out her new hobby on Nikko, the tattoo artist who inked the famed rose tattoo that covers her lower back and bum cheeks.
The 'Fight For This Love' singer turned the tables to create her own 'bespoke' design. In pictures, Cheryl can be seen talking to Nikko, whose leg is rested on a stool, and clutching a pen with white gloves on.
Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Cheryl said: "You learn something new everyday!!! .. #nikkohurtado."
In another black and whie photo, the brunette looks to be in full swing as she concentrates hard while making her design.
Captioning one snap, 30-year-old Cheryl said: "Today I learned from the best how to tattoo."
Cheryl's final design on Nikko appeared to be a red heart symbol positioned above the outline of some glasses. Next to the specs appear to be two star shapes and a spiral beneath it.
It may not not be a new hobby as such for the Cheryl though, as she admitted it would be her "first and last" time.
Showing off the final design in a close up snap, Cheryl said: "I got to tag the best tattoo artist with my first and last tattoo @nikkohurtado designed bespoke by yours truly."
