Orlando Bloom speaks about split from Miranda Kerr for the first time

Orlando Bloom has broken his silence on his recent relationship break-up with model wife Miranda Kerr.

He told a TMZ photographer that there's no hard feelings between them.

When asked if they were still friends, he said: "We're not friends. We're family."

He added: "It's all pretty good and stable. Life is a mystery, you know. It doesn't always work out the way you want, but it's all good."

Just yesterday (Friday 25 October), Orlando, 38, and Miranda, 30, issued a joint statement announcing their separation after six years together.

A rep for Orlando told E! News: "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

The Lord Of The Rings actor and Australian Victoria Secret's model, who have a two-year-old son Flynn, began dating in 2007 and married in a secret ceremony three years later.

They welcomed their son on January 6, 2011.

They were last spotted together in late September when she supported him at the opening night of a new Broadway production of Romeo And Juliet, in which Orlando plays the famous Shakespeare hero.
