Rylan, who finished fifth place on last year's show, appeared on spin-off show The Xtra Factor on Sunday (20 October), where he greeted Take That frontman Gary with open arms, while handing him a single red rose!
At first, Gary's reaction was less welcoming, as he held his head in his hands! Although, Gary soon began to laugh along with fellow judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger.
It's no secret that Gary wasn't exactly a fan on Rylan during last year's show, but the pair did manage to find some common ground and were involved in plenty of banter during the show.
Last night, Gary and Rylan were finally reunited! Xtra co-host Caroline Flack told the judges that she had a surprise in store for them.
She explained: "Now we're getting to the end of 'Love and Heartbreak' week, so we wanted to get you a gift that would really tug on your heartstring. A gift that money can't buy, a gift that really needs no introduction..."
Within seconds, Rylan appeared from the stage door clasping a rose and singing Take That's classic song, 'Back For Good'. Although the ballad didn't last for long though, as Rylan soon stepped into his comfort zone with a dance track.
Jumping about on the stage, the Celebrity Big Brother winner declared from the top of his lungs: "I'm back!"
After hugging Gary, Rylan moved over to share a hug with former mentor Nicole.
Ahead of Rylan's return, he let fans in on the surprise, tweeting: "Shhhhh don't tell the judges. Tune into Xtra Factor 9pm Itv2 for a Rylan Surprise."
It was also a reunion for Nicole and Rylan, who have remained good friends since last year's show. Cuddling up to Nicole backstage, Rylan simply said: "#ScherzyBoyForLife x."
