Lauren Pope has touched on the subject of her relationship with TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone, saying that he wasn't her "fairytale".

The two reality TV stars were seen attempting to take their friendship to the next level on last night's episode (16 October), by going on their first official date having enjoyed a drunken snog in Las Vegas last month.

However, sparks failed to fly during their pizza making date and Mario and Lauren both agreed to remain friends instead of trying to take it any further.

And despite comments from fans about their very short-lived romance, Lauren has insisted that she is fine with how things ended and even joked that she had put Mario in the "friend zone".

Yesterday she tweeted: "Chill guys, a drunken kiss in Vegas and a pizza lesson wasn't exactly gonna be my fairytale was it! #DidntWait30yearsForThat #friendzoned".

Although, we have to admit that we're slightly gutted to not see Mario and Lauren progress. They could have been a cute couple!

Meanwhile, as Mario enjoyed some pizza fun with Lauren, his ex-girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh also got in on the action by indulging in a giant pizza with TOWIE pal Ferne McCann.

Ferne tweeted a photo of herself and Lucy - who is now dating co-star Tom Pearce - sat behind two huge pizzas yesterday and wrote: "Hahaha me and mona got a pizza each #fatties @lucy_meck."

The girls appeared to be in the middle of filming for their hit ITV2 show as they tucked into their dinner, since they were both wearing super glam dresses and sporting fancy hair 'dos.
