Peter Andre has landed a job on new family topical debate show Sunday Scoop.

Peter, who is expecting a baby with girlfriend Emily MacDonagh, will appear on the ITV1 programme on Sunday mornings alongside new Loose Women panelist Nadia Sawalha and journalist Kaye Adams.

Although Nadia and Kaye will present the show, Peter has been scheduled to feature in five episodes to discuss the latest news and current affairs.

Speaking about his new job, Peter said: "I cannot wait to get started on Sunday Scoop. It is great to be involved in a show that is based on news and current affairs but that is also for all the family.

"It will be so much fun and the absolute perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. I also love the fact that it is live as you just never know what will happen and it will be an exciting new challenge for me."

Last month, Peter quit his own reality TV show Peter Andre: My Life, as Emily wanted a quieter, private life once their baby comes along.

He said: "I am with someone who is a lot more private and even though I am public and I could never ask for privacy here and there - that's wrong, you can't when you're in this industry - you have to also respect the other person."

It sounds like Peter won't be sat on his laurels though. Along with Sunday Scoop, Peter is also the face of 60 Minute Makeover.

Meanwhile, ITV have also announced a second Sunday morning show called Sunday Side Up.

The programme will be presented by Stephen Mulhern and will feature "celebrity guests, showbiz chat, games and surprises".
