Brody Jenner has joked that he's now dating stepmother Kris, amid false reports that he's thrilled she's separated from his father Bruce.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians couple Kris and Bruce announced this week that they'd separated after 22 years of marriage, but insisted they are still the best of friends and in daily contact.

Happy families! Brody shared this snap to Instagram on 10 October.

That hasn't stopped some outlets, however, speculating that there is animosity between them. One even suggested Brody and his brother Brandon were thrilled to be losing Kris as a stepmother.

Brody, however, laughed off the rumour last night by uploading a picture to Instagram showing himself cuddling up to his stepmother while Bruce and Brandon sit nearby.

He joked: "Kris Jenner and I are dating now and Brandon and Bruiser seem pretty chill about it hahah."

Kris also shot that speculation down by tweeting a picture of herself, Bruce, Brody and Brandon beaming for the camera. She added the caption: "Another amazing night… Too fun. I love you guys!!! Best hearts!"

Kris shared another happy family picture to her own Instagram.

Kris and Bruce announced their split in a joint statement, saying: "We are living separately and are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other.

"Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

They will both remain on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with reports suggesting the separation will be documented on the E! show.

Yesterday, both Kris and Bruce said no divorce lawyers had been contacted and neither had spoken of divorce.

Kris told People: "It's just not something that's real negative and nasty. I love really hard, and the people that I have in my life that I love will always be in my life forever. It's ultimately like one big happy family."
