The couple announced their separation in a statement last night (8 October), saying they are "happier" living apart from each other.
Kris and Bruce, who have 10 children between them, have reportedly been on the rocks for some time, however their split has still come as a shock to fans.
It is believed they actually called time on their marriage last year but have kept it a secret.
Breaking the news to E!, they said: "We are living separately and are much happier this way.
"But we will always have much love and respect for each other.
"Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
Kris, 57, and 63-year-old former Olympian Bruce married in 1991. Their nuptials came one month after Kris divorced Robert Kardashian - father to Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob.
Bruce already had four children with his ex-wife - Brandon, Brody, Casey and Burt. Together, the couple went on to have two more kids, daughters Kendall and Kylie.
In 2007, the family's world changed forever when their new fly-on-the-wall reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians hit TV screens across the globe.
The programme made the Kardashians and Jenners worldwide stars, with Kris at the helm guiding her husband and children to a life of fame and fortune.
But while the majority relished in their new existence, Bruce seemed to enjoy the quieter life, playing golf and aircraft simulator computer games.
Often, he seemed bewildered by his wife - dubbed the 'momager' - and her whirlwind antics, both in her personal and business world.
Meanwhile, Bruce recently revealed he is battling skin cancer and has been receiving treatment to his nose.
