James and Jeremy will reprise their roles of Rory Finnagan (Finn) and Kurt Benson as the lads meet up with Nick's character Tony - who is battling cancer - in Spain.
James quit the soap 11 years ago and Jeremy left three years before him when Kurt was killed off in a jet-skiing accident. So how will he return if he's dead?
Speaking on ITV1's Daybreak today (4 October), Jeremy said: "It's more of a case that I'm...Tony's dying and therefore he sees Kurt who was his best friend and somewhat mentor when he was a young guy, so that's who he turns to at crossroads."
Hinting that Tony will not be killed off too, Nick quickly interrupted: "He's going in and out of consciousness..."
Jeremy then added: "I'd also like to point out that I died off screen in reported speech, you never actually saw me die. It was just a phone call..." What does this mean, Jeremy?!
Although Jeremy and James left more than a decade ago, Hollyoaks stalwart Nick is still hanging in there.
He said: "It's just been a great ride. When we started off it was more like university. But going to work now, I still have a smile on my face. I've just stayed there, old Ken Barlow!"
Nick's on and off-screen brother John Pickard will be joining the trio in Hollyoaks Later, along with actor Danny Dyer - who has since landed a role in EastEnders.
Jeremy said: "He came in just for these five late nights playing a character called The White Man, who Tony runs into trouble with.
"He's a great guy, we knew him before and he's a great actor. We're very lucky to have him. He's very good in it - we're all very good actually!"
Hollyoaks Later, 10pm, Monday 7 October - Friday 11 October, E4.
