The 'It's My party' singer, who will be on the road with Robin Thicke on the North American leg of his tour in February, is hoping to release her first single in the US by January.
Former Voice coach Jessie told The Mirror: "The US is such a big market to break. It's such a different thing out there.
"I don't like doing anything half-heartedly, so I don't wanna do the US until I can be there - so I'm gonna live there next year."
It appears that Jessie has already thought about her move in some depth, revealing that she wants to live in New York rather than Los Angeles, and bring some of her close friends to live with her.
The 25-year-old, who has just wrapped up filming the 'Calling All Hearts' music video with Robin, headed to the US earlier this year to record most of the tracks for her second studio album, Alive, which was released this week.
Jessie quit The Voice in July after being a coach on the BBC talent show for two series. She explained that the success of her music career was the main reason behind her decision to leave, adding that music "has to take priority".
