The broadcaster interviewed SCD judge on today's BBC Breakfast (24 September), where he was shown a video of Susanna in training with her pro partner Kevin Clifton.
You'd think that being a guest on Susanna's show that Craig (who is promoting new book Tales From The Dancefloor) might have been pleasant with his commentary... wrong!
After being shown the clip, he remarked: "That was a bit lame, a bit lacklustre. You know you've only got two more days to improve that."
Craig did add, however, that his critique was always intended to be constructive: "I like telling people the truth. It's only to make you better, to make you look good the next week."
Susanna and Kevin will make their dancefloor debut this weekend when the Strictly Come Dancing live shows kick off. For Kevin, it will be his first year as a pro dancer on the show.
Earlier this month, journalist Susanna admitted: "The thing I am most scared about is forgetting the moves. I don't want to train and train and then forget everything!"
And it appears that fear is still there as the 42-year-old tweeted yesterday: "I don't need dance training - I need memory training!"
We reckon she'll be absolutely fine.
