The 'We Can't Stop' singer, 20, has been forced to deny growing speculation over the past few months that her often long-distance relationship with Liam has been on the rocks...
But her decision to unfollow him on the social networking site has done nothing to silence the rumours.
The apparent public snub comes just days after Liam, 23, was forced to deny claims he kissed an unnamed female at the Toronto International Film Festival.
A spokesperson for the Australian Hunger Games actor insisted the story was not true, as well as dismissing further claims he'd been texting inappropriate messages to Mad Men actress January Jones.
Other reports say Liam wants to distance himself from Miley's increasingly controversial behaviour, including her provocative duet of 'Blurred Lines' with Robin Thicke at the recent VMA's.
Miley and Liam - who were last pictured together in early August - have been dating on and off since 2009 when they met on the set of The Last Song, and became engaged in 2012.
Some music aficionados have suggested that Miley's new single 'Wrecking Ball' is directed at Liam.
Lyrics include: "Don't you ever say I just walked away, I will always want you [...] I can't live a lie, running for my life."
Neither Miley nor Liam have commented as yet.
