With the countdown for Britney Spears' new single 'Work B**ch' almost over, the singer has now treated fans to a glimpse of the track's artwork, which takes inspiration from Las Vegas.

Given that Britney will be taking up a residency spot in Vegas later this year, it comes as no surprise that her racy cover art costume looks like it was created with Sin City in mind.

The 31-year-old pop superstar unveiled her 'Work B**ch' cover on Twitter yesterday (12 September) and wrote: "4 days people! Go call the Po-Lice! Go call the Governor! #WorkB"

She can be seen wearing a sparkly blue sequin bodysuit, which is cut all the way down to her naval and in cinched in at the waist with a skinny blue belt.

The showgirl-esque leotard is also covered in dozens of light blue feather around the shoulders and flatters Britney's trim physique.

Her blonde hair has been cut into a shorter style.

Britney appears to be getting geared up for her Vegas residency in the snap too, since she is leaning against a sparkly dressing table, which features pearls, feathers and a small Las Vegas sign on top of it.

Pop fans have been eagerly awaiting some new music from the pop queen and are no doubt excited to see Britney back to looking like her show-stopping self in this artwork.

The songstress has been hard at work in the studio this year working on her eighth studio album, which will follow 2011's Femme Fatale.

And the suspense is certainly building!

Britney also posted this behind the scenes picture with the caption "#workb*tch"

Earlier this week, Britney teased her followers with a picture of her new song's lyrics - although the words had actually been blurred out!

However, what could be made out was the co-writers of the track and with names such as William Adams ( and Sebastian Ingrosso (Swedish House Mafia) on the list, is looks like we could be in for an upbeat dance floor anthem.

We can't wait!
