The US X Factor judge and Disney star announced details of her inspirational book which is to include her favourite quotes, in a Keek video posted to Twitter yesterday (9 September).
"One of the things that's helped me in my recovery is taking every day one day at a time," she said.
"I am a firm believer in starting out the day right with an inspirational quote and a morning meditation, so I've put together 365 of my favourite quotes and a little morning meditation for everybody.
The 'Heart Attack' singer, who has landed a role in US comedy drama Glee as a love interest for Santana, was admitted to a rehab facility in 2010 to seek treatment for bulimia and self-harm issues.
Demi continued to say that she was "excited" about the release, telling fans that she hopes the book "inspires" them.
Staying Strong, which will be published by Feiwel & Friends, an imprint of Pan Macmillan, will include quotes, personal reflections and goals.
Part of the excerpt reads: "For superstar Demi Lovato, life has been a journey — a time of dazzling achievements and heartbreaking losses. She has faced struggles ranging from addiction to depression, all the while on a search for self-discovery and happiness.
"This is a book for everyone, everywhere, on their own journey who need comfort, inspiration and a reason every day to stay strong."
Demi is returning to screens in the US on 11 September when the new series of The X Factor USA returns. She will be back on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.
Staying Strong will be released worldwide on 19 November.
