The cast of Glee have headed back to work this week following a touching tribute made to their late co-star Cory Monteith at the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend.

Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer were spotted on the set of the popular musical comedy-drama series yesterday (12 August), less than 24 hours after they and their fellow Glee stars had appeared at the Teen Choice Awards in LA.

Naya, 26, appeared to be sinking her teeth straight back into the role of sexy cheerleader Santana Lopez, as she strutted around on set in a short, printed purple dress that showed off her killer pins. She also wore a pair of sky-high black heels, but was caught giving her feet a break in between takes in some comfy Converse trainers.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Chris donned a colourful and fashionable ensemble for his character Kurt Hummel - who developed feelings for Cory's character Finn Hudson in season one.

Chris was seen wearing an eye-catching purple shirt with turquoise trousers, orange socks and bright turquoise shoes, while clutching a drink and his phone.

The actors are beginning to adjust to filming without 31-year-old Cory, who passed away last month from an accidental heroin and alcohol overdose.

On Sunday, Glee's Lea Michele - who was in a relationship with Cory on and off screen - collected the Teen Choice Award for Best TV Actress – Comedy for her role as Rachel Berry in the hit series and dedicated the gong to her late boyfriend.

Joined on stage by some of her Glee co-stars, Lea paid an emotional tribute to Cory and couldn't hold back tears as she thanked her fans for their support over the past few weeks.

"Not that I had any doubts before but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world and I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory," she said.

The third episode of the next season of Glee will be a final tribute to the Canadian actor and aims to directly address his issues with drug use.
