Niall was notably starstruck on Wednesday (7 August) when he told fans over Twitter that he had met David and his kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper after 1D performed at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Niall didn't post a photo of the pair together at the time, but we knew he would soon enough, and last night shared the snap on Twitter.
The 19-year-old Irish heartthrob, who wore a white top emblazoned with the words 'Crazy Mofos' looked over the moon to be standing next to David.
Meanwhile David, 38, looked dapper and also quite chuffed as he stood in a black T-shirt which showed off his sleeve of tattoos. Niall was also full of compliments for David, who recently retired from football at the end of last season.
Niall captioned the snap: "What a great guy! Great to meet him! absolute legend!"
David brought his kids to meet the popstars personally after their gig, but Niall's bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who recently signed for Doncaster Rovers Football Club, missed out. Louis tweeted last night: ''Gutted I didn't get to meet Beckham yesterday.'
One Direction, who are currently on the US leg of their 'Take Me Home Tour', arrived in LA on Wednesday to kick off the first of four concerts.
