The 25-year-old said: "Back in the studio this week. Thought you all might like to share a little look at me in full flow... #GETDOWN."

James has already collaborated with 'Earthquake' hit maker and producer Labrinth for his forthcoming album. Labrinth told MTV last month (10 June): "So far, from what I've heard from James Arthur sounds amazing. His voice works on anything. I'm very sure he's gonna smash it."

Aside from new material, James has been performing at several gigs around the country, most recently at T In The Park Festival in Scotland (13 July) and Cornbury Music Festival in Oxfordshire (6 July).

There was a massive hype following James when he beat finalist Jahmene Douglas to be crowned the winner of the talent show last year.

James, who was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger, went on to score a number one hit with his rendition of 'Impossible', which sold over one million copies,.

With this year's X Factor already in motion, many fans are eager to hear some sweet music from the talented musician! One fan said: "Literally can't wait for the album," while another declared, "I'm buying @JamesArthur23 album when it's out!! Im a fan!!"

We're pretty sure James is also hoping to follow in the footsteps of runner-up Jahmene, after his debut album Love Never Fails went in at the number one spot in the charts over the weekend.
