Kate Middleton, Prince William release Prince George's birth certificate

Kate Middleton and Prince William have made the arrival of their baby son Prince George official by formally registering him.

Proud parents Kate and William registered George today (2 August), 11 days after he was born, before releasing a copy of his birth certificate.

Alongside the 'name and surname' box, it states: "His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge."

Both Kate and William's details have been filled in and, under their occupations, it reads: "Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom."

The form features the couple's full names - Catherine Elizabeth Her Royal Highness The Duchess Of Cambridge in the case of Kate, and His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis Duke Of Cambridge for Wills.

The couple's address has been listed as Kensington Palace and the form was registered in Westminster.

It's been a little more than a week since Kate and William left St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, with their newborn son.

The couple returned to Kensington Palace, where The Queen got to meet Prince George, before they headed to the Middleton family home in Berkshire.

George was born on 22 July at 4.24pm. He weighed 8lbs 6oz.
