Perhaps mindful that his interview with Kate Garraway was being aired first thing on Tuesday morning (30 July), the Die Hard star kept his look casual - very casual – as they chatted in his hotel room.
Now, if we were Bruce we'd probably have explained in the interview if there was any other reason for the dressing gown other than comfort…
But it seems Bruce didn't elaborate on his choice of dress but did chat about new movie RED 2 and the loves of his life: wife Emma and his four daughters.
The action star and his wife Emma Heming welcomed baby girl Mabel last year. Bruce is also dad to three daughters - Rumer, Scout and Tallulah - with ex-wife Demi Moore.
"[Being a dad is] just awesome, I'm just very proud of all of my daughters," he said. "It's all good, I haven't found a time yet that is bad. I get to learn a lot more about women than most men do because it's just me, there's me and 20 women around me."
He added that the best thing about being a dad is "the unconditional love I get from my daughters and my wife. I'm very happy."
We may not understand why he's wearing a dressing gown on TV, but we definitely think that's a very sweet thing to say.
