The pop superstar has certainly stepped up the promotion for her latest project, as she told her fans on Twitter to watch out for the Prism semi-truck and send her a picture if they caught a glimpse of it.
She tweeted: "Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map."
Of course, Katy's fans delivered - including American Idol runner up Adam Lambert - and she then confirmed to the rest of her Twitter followers that 22 October is indeed the official release date.
Prism is the follow-up to Katy's phenomenally successful multi-platinum album, Teenage Dream, and will feature tracks called 'Double Rainbow' and 'Bad Photographs'.
It will apparently also be a record that contains honesty, self reflection and some darker elements to make it a little different from her previous work.
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last week, Katy revealed: "I've had a lot of time to reflect... a lot of self reflection and I think that it will continually be what I always do, connecting to my core and trying to bring an honest message that people can relate to, because I think honesty is what everybody is looking for."
