Miley Cyrus proved what a great sense of humour she has this week by claiming that she was contemplating getting a new tattoo of Chris Brown's name on her cheek.

The 'We Can't Stop' singer already has a number of tattoos on her body, including an anchor and a dream catcher, but during an appearance on German TV earlier this week she joked that another inking could be in the pipeline.

She said: "I was thinking about maybe getting 'Chris Brown' across this cheek. It would be really good for my career."

Miley, 20, is currently promoting her new single around Europe and also made a pit-stop in the UK, where she sat down with ITV's morning show Daybreak for a chat about her upcoming album and her drastic image overhaul.

Speaking to presenter Aled Jones, Miley explained that her new music sound and her style transformation have happened organically and are a result of her growing up and taking control of her life.

"I feel like it's a much better time for me because I don't owe anyone anything," she said. "People think this is some conscious decision to make some crazy transition, but it's just life. That's life for you. People grow and people change."

The former Disney star has been constantly turning heads this year in a number of risqué outfits and provocative pictures, while also releasing a hugely popular video that showed her taking part in the 'twerking' dance craze and wearing a unicorn onesie.

Discussing her raunchy music video for 'We Can't Stop', Miley said: "I love my videos to have some part of sexiness to it but I didn't want that to be the whole thing, I wanted it to be gritty."

'We Can't Stop' has stormed the American charts and been a huge hit for Miley, racking up over 98 million views on YouTube - something which she puts down to good karma.

She told Aled: "I've been lucky because the universe has always worked really well for me. I think karmically I must have done something right in my past life because it's always been really good to me... I believe in karma because I've seen karma bite so many people."
