Maria began working with the organisation following a tough time of her own, which included contemplating taking her own life by downing pills and collapsing in a park.
She appeared confident and happy at London's Waterloo Station this morning (24 July), where she drummed up support for The Samaritans' National Awareness Day, known as 'Talk To Us'.
The former TOWIE star looked happy to be lending a hand to the worthy cause and donned a T-shirt with the 'Talk To Us' slogan emblazoned across the front.
She teamed her green top with skinny blue jeans, a pair of Louboutins and a bright red lip.
Maria, 26, also kept her hair style fairly low-key by simply pinning up the sides and ditching her trusty hair extensions, which she is apparently having a break from.
The red-headed model was eager to do her bit for The Samaritans today, since the group are particularly close to her heart following her battle with depression.
Maria has previously said she feels there isn't enough support for people suffering from depression and she wishes that she had got in touch with the group sooner, as they helped her to open up about her own experience with the condition.
She said: "Talking to them really helped. It was like having a non-judgmental friend, something that is hard to come by in real life."
Maria also tweeted a picture of herself from the morning, writing alongside it: "Me and Catherine the CEO of the Samaritans. Wonderful morning fundraising and raising awareness! X"
More than sixty events will take place across the UK and Ireland as part of Talk To Us.
