The 28-year-old Formula One driving ace posted cryptic messages to Twitter on Friday night (19 July), hinting that he was missing X Factor judge Nicole following the couple's split last month, reportedly due to hectic work schedules.
Lewis, who was in a five-year romance with Nicole, said: "If you've found that special someone, don't EVER let them go no matter what!! Nothing in this world is more important..."
Lewis then posted two photos to Instagram, where he was pictured making music in a recording studio. He said: "My hideaway.....pouring my heart into these track!!"
Further hinting that he may have penned a love song, the following day (20 July), Lewis revealed the title of the song he was working on.
Pictured sitting on a sofa while playing the guitar, Lewis said: "'All good tonight' you gonna love this one."
The 28-year-old then thanked his fans for their support, adding: "Wanted to give thanks to you all for the love & support through this tough time. Have a blessed day!"

Nicole has previously been supportive of Lewis' music-making, telling Capital FM in January: "He's always loved music since he was young and he plays the guitar so he's been recording some tracks, doing his thing for fun. It sounds amazing."
Last month, Lewis admitted that splitting from Nicole had turned his world "upside down" and confessed that he was finding it "hard to pull himself together".
Nicole has said very little since the split, but admitted that she feels "lonely" living in London with no friends.
But Nicole, 35, took her mind off the split this weekend by partying with Miley Cyrus in London and watching a theatre show with X Factor 2012 runner-up Jahmene Douglas, who she mentored on the show.
Posting a photo of the pair, Jahmene said: "Watched 'WAR HORSE' yesterday with Nicole & Grace and it was amaaaazing. My first time watching something in the theatre and I was impressed. Thanks Nicolangel #goodtimes".
