Last week, the 17-year-old posted a snap on her Instagram page of her facing away from the camera and sporting an eye-catching design on the side of her neck.
However, before her followers jumped to conclusions, she captioned the picture: "my longgg neck. sharpie tat by @badwoodx", assuring everyone that her new ink was in fact drawn on with a Sharpie felt tip pen.
And given that the brunette beauty is currently enjoying a flourishing modelling career, it's probably just as well that she hasn't branded her body with art work!
This isn't Kendall's first time fooling her fans into thinking she had gone under the tattoo needle, as she also posted a photo in 2011 of her modelling a huge back tattoo, featuring a skull wearing a Native American headdress, that was drawn on with a Sharpie.
Clearly the reality TV star has a penchant for body art and is perhaps experimenting with a Sharpie until she decides on whether to go for the real thing!
In fact, Kendall almost bit the bullet and got a real tattoo of the words 'You are beautiful' on a previous episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but she changed her mind about the inking at the very last minute.
The young teen was seen sneaking off to a tattoo parlour in Las Vegas with her sister Kylie, after her dad Bruce Jenner had expressed that she wasn't allowed to have any body art until she was 18 years old.
However, following a phone call with her older sisters Khloe and Kourtney, Kendall decided against the idea and it looks like she is sticking to Sharpie tattoos for the time being!
