Mariah Carey has got some serious competition on her hands, in the form of her two-year-old daughter Monroe!

The music superstar took to the stage last night (30 June) for a stunning performance at the BET Awards, and while she wowed the crowds with her powerhouse vocals, Monroe was at home imitating her mum with her very own mic!

Mariah's husband, Nick Cannon, tweeted the cute black and white photo of Monroe before getting her off to bed. He said: "Monroe did her best impression of Mommy's performance from tonight #Beautiful."

Mariah, 43, performed the remix version of her latest single 'Beautiful' alongside Miguel and Young Jeezy at the annual music awards show, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

With a world-renowed singer like Mariah for a mum, it's no wonder that Monroe wants to be just like her! Mariah has previously said that she was teaching Monroe the tricks of the trade to becoming a diva.

Mariah, who is also mum to two-year-old Moroccan, announced in May that she would not be returning to American Idol for a second season, in order to focus on her forthcoming world tour and new studio album.

Mariah was due to release her highly-anticipated album on 23 July but in a message to fans on her website last week, she explained that the she has delayed her upcoming release date. She said: "I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23."
