Channing Tatum has admitted that he has found it difficult being away from his newborn daughter Everly, adding that it's "horrible" missing out on every minute of her life.

The first-time dad, who welcomed Everly on 31 May with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, has been busy filming a new movie, Jupiter Ascending, alongside Mila Kunis in London.

Channing told E! News: "I'm away from her for 12-13 hours and I feel like I come home and I feel like she's changed - like her face looks different.

"You feel like every minute that you miss is horrible."

The 33-year-old said that his new family are doing great, but admitted that the first few months are "hard."

Channing and Jenna, who have been residing in the British capital since March, married in Malibu in 2009 after meeting on the set of dance film Step Up in 2006.

This week, the Magic Mike actor had to spend even more time away from home after embarking on a promotional blitz for action-thriller film White House Dawn ahead of its US premiere.
