TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh has said that she'd rather be single than give ex-boyfriend Mario Falcone another chance.

The Lucy's Boutique owner split from her Italian tailor boyfriend earlier this year when she discovered he'd been unfaithful during their relationship.

In a Twitter Q&A with the official TOWIE account last night, she was asked if she had the chance to date Mario again, would she give him another chance or would she rather be single.

"I'd definitely rather be single!" replied Lucy.

Answering another fan, she said: "So much has happened between me and Mario I won't ever be able to look at him the same way again."

As for whether she feels happier now she's not with Mario, she replied: "Hell yes!"

On last night's episode of the ITV2 show, viewers saw Lucy and Mario come face-to-face at a garden party, and Lucy burst into tears as they spoke.

When asked if her tears were because she "hated him so much or because she still loved him so much", she replied: "Honestly, it's probably a mix of both. I haven't sat next to him since we broke up so there are mixed emotions."

Another upsetting situation for Lucy? Her relationship with co-star Dan Osborne, which seems to have fizzled out following the news that his ex-girlfriend is expecting his baby.

Dan breaks his baby news to Lucy

Dan broke the baby news to Lucy last week, and viewers saw her telling him that he needed to focus on his child and not her right now.

Last night, however, they were seen chatting and smiling together at a summer party, suggesting they will be staying friends.

"It's too early to tell whether he was the one, but he's a really lovely, genuine guy and I can't say a bad word about him," said Lucy.

TOWIE airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 10pm on ITV2.
