The hopeful candidate, who runs her own cupcake business, was pictured wearing a cerise figure-hugging frock featuring darker pink and orange blocks of colour.

She teamed her look with a matching designer handbag and a large hat, and kept her long hair down in loose curls.

Luisa posed for a photo alongside her pal, which she then uploaded to Twitter: "Me at #ascot today!" she commented.

The businesswoman found herself in the firing line in this week's episode of The Apprentice. Her team had been challenged to create a dating website and advertising campaign, and she found herself being made Project Manager after Jason Leech stepped down.

Jason was sent home after their boardroom encounter, but Luisa was faced with some harsh words from Nick Hewer, who said her behaviour had been the "most disgraceful display of bad manners" he had seen in a long time.

Following Nick's comments, Luisa retweeted a fan who had posted: "@TheLuluLife didn't deserve what she got in the boardroom."
