The show's host tweeted a picture of himself sitting with Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow on Tuesday (4 June), as the new panel prepared to start their search for the UK's next musical star.
Dermot simply captioned his photo: "And so it begins…"
Sharon has replaced last year's judge Tulisa on the panel, although she's obviously no stranger to the role as she was one of the original X Factor judges when the series began on ITV way back in 2004 and was won by Steve Brookstein.
"I couldn't be happier about coming back for the 10th anniversary of X Factor," she said. "I can't wait to give Gary Barlow a big hug, sit next to the gorgeous Nicole, and of course throw water on dear Louis. Yay!"
While Sharon is full of the joys of spring at her new role, we predict some of this year's hopefuls might not be so cheerful… for the first time ever they have to face TWO auditions in order to progress past the first stage.
Acts will perform for the judges in an intimate audition room and then if they get three yeses or more, they will have to prove themselves once again in an arena setting to progress. Double the pressure!
Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and newbie Matt Richardson weren't included in Dermot's group shot, but they're both in Scotland for the filming, too. Caroline tweeted a photo of herself and Matt earlier today, showing they're already bonding (even if she does miss Olly Murs!).
