Simon Cowell confirms he is single, after split with Carmen Electra

Simon Cowell has confirmed he is single after splitting with Carmen Electra - and admits he is looking for love!

In an interview with today's Sunday People, Simon says: "I'd like to find a girlfriend."



Simon, 53, dated Baywatch star Carmen, 40, after meeting her when she was a judge on last year's Britain's Got Talent.

But now he says they are just good friends.

He reveals: "I'm now a single man. We spent time together and she is so much fun. But I'd like to find a girlfriend.

"I do particularly like British women but I haven't got my eye on anyone."



Simon blames his workaholic personality on his failure to maintain a relationship. Past girlfriends include Sinitta, who remains a close friend, and American Idol make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy, who he was engaged to.

He tells the newspaper: "I do work a lot and it doesn't leave me very long for women but I have lots of great friends, and great women in my life."
