Jennifer Lawrence battles pneumonia to shine on SAG Awards red carpet

Jennifer Lawrence may be recovering from pneumonia but you'd never have known she was feeling under the weather on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet.

Looking gorgeous in a Christian Dior gown, the Hollywood star was all smiles as she accepted the 'Best Actress' prize for her role in The Silver Linings Playbook on Sunday night (27 January).



The Hunger Games actress Jennifer - who took to the stage with Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper during the night - joked to E! News at the event: "I have walking pneumonia; it's highly contagious. I'm fine now."

Rumours that Jen, 22, might be too ill to attend the glitzy ceremony surfaced over the weekend when her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jacki Weaver had to accept a prize on her behalf at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards.



Collecting the Best Actress trophy for Jennifer on Saturday, Jacki told the audience: "Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia."

The movie's producer Bruce Cohen added to American magazine Us Weekly that Jennifer had been working herself so hard with red carpet appearances in recent weeks that she hadn't had enough sleep.



Thankfully it seems like Jennifer is on the road to recovery… we're guessing she wouldn't have attended a packed red carpet ceremony if she was still feeling too ill.

If only we looked as glamorous when we're battling the tail end of an illness...
